The Harbour is also connected to the downtown core and to Stanley Park on the northwest side. Its name was derived from the fact that, at one time, the area contained the rail yards at the end of the CPR Trans Canada route. Now, it has flourished as a neighbourhood with sleek, modern apartment buildings, charming parks and shops, and dining facilities.
